All entries must be received no later than 12.00 pm on Friday 21st September 2007

 

 

England Squash Area Academy Selection Criteria:

·         Compulsory attendance at England Squash National Junior Squads (when invited), England Squash Area Squad (when invited), England Squash Area Closed, England Squash Grand Prix (when invited) National Junior and British Junior Open Championships

·         The top 4 players on the England Squash Rankings on the published dates will automatically be selected to attend National Squad; the next 4 players ranked below the top 4 in the Area will be automatically selected for the Area Squad. (If an Area cannot select fully off the rankings then the Area Director and Area Coach to select from the Area Closed results)

·         The 5th nationally ranked player will receive a National Junior Squad reserve letter as well as a full selection letter for the Area Squad. The 5th ranked player in the Area will receive a reserve letter for the Area Squad. We will then select the next player off the national rankings if selected players cannot attend.  

·         If a player was Top 4 at one National Squad but has dropped down to No 5 at the next selection date he/she automatically moves back to Area Squad.

·         If a player has attended the first 2 squads but then moves up an age group mid season and is not one of the 4 best ranked players in age group above he/she will not be selected for the follow squad and must work there way back up the rankings to be selected again.

·         Non attendance to an Area Squad will result in non selection for future National & Area Squads, the Inter Area Championship and England representative honours, unless illness or injury and must be accompanied by a Doctor/Physiotherapist certificate.

 

England Squash Area Academy Dates:

·         17th – 18th November             -           (Select off 1st November Rankings)

·         15th – 16th December             -           (Select off 1st December Rankings)

·         19th – 20th January 2008                    -           (Select off 1st January Rankings)

·         29th – 30th March 2008                     -           (Select off 1st March Rankings)

 

 

England Squash Inter Area Championships – 12th – 13th April 2008:

·         Both National and Area Squad player’s are eligible compete in the Inter Area Championships.

·         England Squash Inter Area Championship 2008 will consist of 3 girls per team and 5 boys per team.

·         Compulsory attendance at National Junior Squads, Area Squads (when Invited), Area Closed, Grand Prix (when invited) National Junior and British Junior Open Championships

·         Current form (as a guide)

·         Current ranking (as a guide)

·         Results throughout season  

·         Demonstrate good team ethic

·         Compliance with the Junior Code of Conduct

·         Entries are limited to a maximum 32 draw for Boys and Girls in each age group

·         If you wish to check your entry has been received, please call your England Squash Area Office

·         The venue for your event will be posted on www.englandsquash.com along with the registration times for each age group preceding the tournament.
